Ama identified a problem in her community: young people lacked practical skills to enter the job market. With passion but little practical experience, she started developing a vocational training initiative. However, she faced significant obstacles—lack of funding, limited networks, and no experience in program management.
NAC's TransformX Generation program provided exactly what Ama needed: business training, mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, and connection to potential funding sources. The program helped her formalize her idea, develop a business plan, and access initial funding.
Today, Ama's training center has equipped over 500 young people with practical skills, significantly increasing their employment prospects. More importantly, many of these young people have gone on to start their own ventures. "This program gave me permission to dream big," Ama says. "But more importantly, it gave me tools to turn those dreams into reality."
From Invisible to Inspiring: Kwesi's Leadership Journey
Kwesi showed leadership potential but lacked confidence. He came from a background where his voice wasn't valued, and he struggled to believe he had anything valuable to contribute to broader conversations. The NAC leadership program changed his trajectory.
